Komal Luthra – Founder and Executive Director – YHGH

Komal Luthra graduated from Rice University in December 2017 with a degree in Kinesiology-Sports Medicine. Currently, she is a medical student at UT Houston McGovern Medical School.  She has been involved in Hindus of Greater Houston for several years. During the spring of 2018, she was as an intern for Hindus of Greater Houston to help the directors lead a variety of projects and activities and served as the youth coordinator for the annual Hindu Youth Awards. During this time, she also developed Young Hindus of Greater Houston with the purpose of increasing youth engagement in Hindu community events, providing them with an excellent leadership experience, and promoting the values of selfless service. Furthermore, she envisions this organization addressing issues faced by Hindu Americans and advocating for important causes that impact Hindu youth. She hopes that this organization will continue to grow and become a source of inspiration for other cities across the nation.
