Darshil Choksi – Recruitment Director- YHGH

Darshil Choksi graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2017 with a degree in Biomedical Engineering. He is currently a medical student within Texas A&M’s ENMED Program in Houston, TX. He was born in India and moved to America when he was 6 years old. Looking back on his childhood, he recognizes the importance of community events at his local temple and organizations such as Gujurati Samaj of Greater Austin in helping him stay connected to his culture and fostering life-long friendships with like-minded young Hindus. He hopes that Young Hindus of Greater Houston will provide that same opportunity for the Hindu youth in Houston to connect through service and leadership, while also learning more about their Indian culture.
